DAVIE (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins have been firing on all cylinders since interim head coach Dan Campbell replaced Joe Philbin three weeks ago.

Several players, most of the team in fact, have seen far better results under Campbell than they did when Philbin was in charge.

Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill is one of those guys, and on Wednesday he was honored for his impressive efforts.

The NFL announced that Tannehill has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 7.

Miami dominated the Houston Texans last weekend and like much of the team, Tannehill had a flawless first half.

Tannehill completed 18 of 19 passes for 282 yards and four touchdowns, earning a perfect passer rating of 158.3.  He's the first quarterback to finish a game with a perfect QB rating this season.

His completion percentage of 94.7 set a new team record, passing Bob Griese's 92.3 percent in a game against New England in 1978.

Tannehill also set a new NFL record in the win over Houston. After completing his last seven passes in Miami's Week 6 win in Tennessee and his first 18 attempts against the Texans, Tannehill's 25 consecutive completions marked a new league record.
