Dolphins Mike Pouncey Staying Through 2015 Season

DAVIE (CBSMiami) - Miami Dolphins' center Mike Pouncey isn't going anywhere for the time being.

The team has announced that they've exercised the fifth-year option on the rookie's contract.

The Pro Bowl center is now under contract through the 2015 season.

The 15th overall selection in the 2011 NFL Draft, Pouncey has started all 46 games that he has played in his career. He was named to the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl team and became the first Dolphins center selected to the Pro Bowl since Tim Ruddy in 2000. Pouncey became the fourth Dolphins center selected to the NFL's annual all star game in team history, joining Ruddy and Hall of Famers Jim Langer (1973-78) and Dwight Stephenson (1983-87).
