Dolphins Legend Larry Little Honored At High School Alma Mater

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Students at Booker T. Washington Senior High gathered on campus to help pay tribute to former Miami Dolphin and alumnus Larry Little as he was inducted into the Hometown Hall of Fame Wednesday.
Little played for the San Siego Chargers in 1967 before being traded to the Fins in 1969 where he was starting right guard.
He was an All-Pro for six years, a Five-Time Pro Bowler and a three-time AFC Offensive Lineman of the Year.
Little was in three Super Bowls and inducted into the Pro-Football Hall of Fame in 1993.
To Booker T. Washington students, little is a hero.
"It motivates me a lot because no matter what you're going through you can never give up," said Marcus Barthell, a football player at the school.
"It's very important to us because as young black men we see somebody coming through our community doing big things and going into the hall of fame is amazing," added Daniel Richardson, another football player.
"It's very important for me to come back to the high school that meant so much to me growing up and being to let the students today know what it takes to get out and work hard and do well in life," Little explained.
The plaque given to him now stays on display permanently at the school.
