MIAMI (CBSMiami) –  The Miami Dolphins big win last weekend over the Buffalo Bills may have come at a minor cost for one of the teams top players.

According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Dolphins receiver Jarvis Landry has been fined $24,309 for his illegal block on Bills safety Aaron Williams.

Landry has a reputation for playing a tough game and there have been times where his temper has cost the team a 15-yard penalty.

Williams left the game and went to a local Miami hospital for tests but he traveled back to Buffalo with his teammates.

Landry approached Williams on the field following the play and appeared to give him a tap on the backside in a gesture of good will.

On Wednesday Landry was asked if he had heard from the league regarding the hit and he responded, "I have not, I have not."

"I play the game with my whole heart and for these guys in this (locker) room," Landry said. "The protection and safety, of course that matters to me. I would never deliberately try to injure anybody or hurt anybody regardless of whoever says whatever. For me, I'll leave it at that. It was a football play and I'm playing football, and that's it."
