DAVIE (CBSMiami) – New Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase is putting the finishing touches on his coaching staff.

The Dolphins hired Indianapolis Colts quarterbacks coach Clyde Christensen as their offensive coordinator.

Christensen had been with the Colts since 2002, working as their offensive coordinator from 2009 to 2011.

He has worked closely with star quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck, as well as coach Chuck Pagano.

Now Christensen will work with Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who has a 29-25 record in four NFL seasons.

After ascending in each of his first three years, Tannehill had a down season in 2015 as Miami finished with a disappointing 6-10 record.

Last season Miami ranked 28th in offensive points and 26th in yards.

Gase has said that he will call the offensive plays for the Dolphins himself.
