DAVIE (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins took the practice field on Wednesday as the team continues to prepare for preseason game number three against the Atlanta Falcons this weekend.

Left tackle Jason Fox (concussion), cornerback Jamar Taylor (thigh) and linebacker Jordan Tripp (ankle) were held out of practice due to their respective injuries.

Taylor has been battling for a spot amongst the defensive starters and said that "It's definitely frustrating" having to sit out valuable practices.

The big story of the day was that rookie wide receiver DeVante Parker was dressed in full pads for the first time since undergoing foot surgery in June.

Officially he was listed as a non-participant but he was seen working with teammates during individual drills for the portion of practice that was open to the media.

Parker was quick to say that just because he missed training camp that doesn't mean he won't be able to contribute when the regular season begins.

"That's the plan, but you never know," said Parker before practice. "You just go out there and see how you can do."

Another offensive player continued to work his way back from injury.  Left tackle Branden Albert told the media that there were no setbacks after he participated in his first practice of the season on Tuesday.

After saying "I feel good" Albert confirmed that he would be back on the practice field on Wednesday but still doesn't know what his status is for the season opener on September 13th against Washington.

"I don't know," Albert said. "Y'all keep asking me as the same question, I'm gonna give you the same answer."
