MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Thousands of South Floridians are getting ready to lace up their racing shoes and jump on their bikes to ride in the fight against cancer at the 6th annual Dolphins Cycling Challenge.

The DCC is a huge tri-county charity cycling event which takes place this weekend at Sunlife Stadium.

One hundred percent of the money raised in the DCC goes to research at the University of Miami's Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. These donations support healthy lifestyles, community awareness and cancer research at Sylvester.

The event begins Friday night at the DCC VI Kickoff Party from 5pm to 8pm at SunLife Stadium. Executives, players and alumni will mix and mingle with participants as they gear up for DCC and pick up their credentials.

CBS4 will air a half-hour special from the Kickoff Party Friday starting at 7pm. You can watch it live on CBS4 or online at CBSMiami.com.

Just remember on Saturday, February 20th, all routes lead to SunLife Stadium.

Riders will take part in several routes including the Hurricanes Hundred which is a 100 mile ride, the Miami Ride (35 miles), Boca Ride (46 miles), Perfect Season Ride (72 Miles), 1st & 25 (24 miles), and the Dolphins Ride (13 miles).

There are ramp and lanes closures associated with the ride.
