Dolphins, AARP Team Up To Pack A Million Meals

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins partnered up with the AARP Foundation to pack one-million meals for people in South Florida.

Volunteers worked in assembly lines and packaged nutritious meals of rice and beans.

Over 4,000 volunteers attended and helped put together packages for those in need.

Miami Dolphin players also got the chance to give a helping hand as well.

"It's amazing just to see everybody that's in our community just really willing to just come out ande help us out," said Miami Dolphin Earl Mitchell.

Volunteers were able to package nearly 150,000 pounds of food.
