MIRAMAR (CBSMiami) - Six dogs died in a early morning house in Miramar.

Miramar fire crews were sent to a townhome in the 2600 block of SW 131 Terrace just after 8 a.m. on reports of a fire. Arriving firefighters found a smoke pouring from the windows but didn't see any flames. Initial reports were that a woman might be inside.

They searched the home and found the six dogs, but no woman.  The two people who live in the townhome said their dogs were like family to them.
