Dog Thrown From Car Receives Life-Saving Surgery

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A dog seen forced from a car is being treated for a broken jaw.
A witness found the dog Thursday and helped take it to a rescue.
According to the rescue group 100+ Abandoned Dogs of Everglades, Florida, the dog was given surgery at Lauderdale Veterinary Specialists.
Officials have not said whether the dog will be available for adoption once it is healed.
The dog has been name Nerak.
A website was set up to raise funds for the dog's medical care.
