Dodd: Miami Hurricanes 'Sneaky Good This Year'

Despite losing a chunk of dynamic talent to the NFL, not everyone expects a drop-off for Canes football next season.

"I think they're sneaky good this year," Dennis Dodd said on the Joe Rose Show. "They've got a lot of young talent. Look at what Brad Kaaya did as a freshman coming in as a teenager. Now he loses some receivers but they've got some receivers as well. If he can be protected and they can run the ball with Yearby and the other tailback, then they can be as good offensively as they were last year.

"It's just that stretch -- I think it's Cincinnati, Nebraska, Florida State's in there, Clemson -- it's five games in six weeks and it's just gonna be hard to get past that. If they get out of that, and Al said this, 'if we get out of that 4-1, I think it's going to be a pretty good season.'"
