DMV Employee Arrested, Accused Of License Fraud

MIAMI (CBSMiami) --  An investigation led to the arrest of a Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle employee.

Florida Highway Patrol arrested Driver License Examiner Tiffany Denise Sanders on Wednesday for official misconduct and driver license fraud.

She worked at the Northside Driver License Office, located at 7900 Northwest 27 Avenue.

According the arrest form, Sanders has two cars registered under her name in which one is shared with another person.

When an investigator reviewed her records and that of the person she shared the car with, they found that the other person had ten suspensions that had been reinstated. Five of those suspensions were for driving with no or suspended drivers license while the other five were for traffic infractions

Sanders had reinstated and cleared the suspension from the person's driving record and did not collect the reinstatement fees of $60, according to the arrest report.

Detectives also said Sanders allegedly, "manipulated the Automated Driver License Testing System used for testing to issue a knowledge exam for a commercial driver license."

Sanders faces 11 charges of official misconduct, driver license fraud, and theft.
