Disney Cruise Picks Up Cuban Migrants Near Cayman Islands

CAYMAN ISLANDS (CBSMiami) -- A dozen migrants were picked up by a Disney cruise ship on its way to the Cayman Islands.

Disney Wonder was on its way from Miami to Grand Cayman when the group was spotted Saturday night southeast of Cuba, CNN reported.

The suspected migrants were aboard a makeshift vessel, officials with the U.S. Coast Guard said.

They were turned over to the Grand Cayman authorities.
