Deputy Fires Gun While Responding To Lounge Shooting

PEMBROKE PARK (CBSMiami) – Broward Sheriff's deputies are investigating after a shooting involving patrons of a lounge in the 3900 block of Pembroke Road.

According to BSO, a deputy working security detail at the nightclub heard gunfire and responded to the scene also discharging his weapon.

The incident took place around 5:45 a.m.

One person was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital with two gunshot wounds to the leg.

The injuries are non-life-threatening according to officials close to the case.

It is not clear whose bullet hit the person.

Officials added two vehicles were stopped and subjects detained for the investigation.

Firearms were found in the vehicles, officials explained.
