Deadly I-75 Crash In Miramar

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A woman was killed early Wednesday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on I-75.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the SUV she was in was heading south when the driver hit the guardrail. The impact sent the vehicle across the southbound lanes onto the paved median where slammed into a wall near Miramar Parkway.

A 60-year-old passenger was taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver and a child were taken to local hospitals with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

All lanes were blocked until the accident scene can be cleared. Traffic was diverted off at the Miramar Parkway exit or onto the express lanes.

I-75
