Deadly Accident On Tri-Rail Tracks

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - A deadly accident involving a Tri-Rail train and a vehicle has brought the commuter train service to a halt in Ft. Lauderdale.

The accident happened around 7 a.m. when a southbound train hit the vehicle at the train crossing at 6200 Andrews Avenue, just south of Cypress Creek Road.

Ft. Lauderdale police are asking drivers to avoid the area.

Tri-Rail's Bonnie Arnold said they will be providing shuttle bus service for commuters in the affected area.
