Critical Mass Ride Set For Friday Evening

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Parts of South Florida, especially Miami Beach, be prepared because Critical Mass will be sweeping through your usually-congested area Friday evening.

The ride, which takes place every last Friday of the month, is an event that draws thousands of cyclists through several neighborhoods.

The ride, which starts at 7:15 p.m. at the Government Center in downtown Miami, will travel through East Little Havana, Overtown, Allpattah, Liberty City, Little Haiti, Upper East Side, North Bay Village, North Beach, Miami Beach, Venetian Islands and Downtown Miami.

The Critical Mass movement started in order to raise awareness for the rights and the safety of cyclists and to have drivers respect cyclists and share the road with them.
