Crist Not Backing Down From Health Care Law Support

TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/AP) - Florida's former governor Charlie Crist, despite persistent criticism, isn't backing away from his support of the nation's new health insurance system.

At a luncheon Tuesday, Crist spoke and immediately brought up the attack ads Republican Governor Rick Scott's political committee have bought which show Crist saying "I think it's been great," talking about the health care overhaul.

Crist made it clear he won't back down for his support of what's often called Obamacare. He repeatedly said it's "great" at the luncheon.

He then told a story about a woman who saw the ads and wanted Crist to know she too supports the health care overhaul. Crist said the woman told him the law could have saved her brothers' lives.
