Crime Tape Goes Up After Woman Injured At North Miami Beach Library

NORTH MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) -- Investigators are trying to find out what happened to a woman found injured by the entrance of a North Miami Beach library.

Police said the woman was found with head injuries outside the Lafe Allen Memorial Library near NE 16th Avenue and 165th Street Monday morning.

Chopper 4 was over the scene around 8 a.m. Crime scene tape could be seen wrapped around the library's entrance.

Yellow evidence markers could be seen at the steps of the entrance - at least 12 of them.

As of noon, authorities remained at the scene. All they said is they are investigating an incident outside of the library where the woman was found injured.

Investigators were interviewing several business owners near the library.

Officers advised there is no danger to the community at this time.
