HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) -- A contractor facing a sinking situation along the intracoastal in Hollywood has forced the temporary closure of the Hollywood Marina.

A barge anchored offshore began to sink Wednesday morning, near North Lake Drive and 8th Avenue.

Officials said it began taking on water due to a breach at the bottom, causing it to start sinking.
