Crews Work To Control Brush Fire In SW Miami-Dade

FLORIDA CITY (CBSMiami) -- Crews are working to put out a 150 acre brush fire in Southwest Miami-Dade.

The fire is burning along Card Sound Road, which connects to Key Largo.

The road was shut down in both directions Sunday but has since re-opened.

Officials said if the fire spreads any further West, it could impact US1.

Crews from the Florida Forest Service and Miami-Dade Fire rescue used back burns to contain the flames Sunday night and believe they have the fire under control.

Investigators said they believe arson is the cause of the fire.
