Crews Evacuate FLL Airport Building

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) --  Authorities were at the scene of a hazmat call at Fort Lauderdale - Hollywood International Airport.

At last check, Broward Sheriff's Office deputies were at the scene located at 1050 Lee Wagner Boulevard along with other agencies.

Authorities evacuated people in the building on the airport property after reports of people complaining of respiratory symptoms.

Rescue crews treated about eight patients. Two of those were transported to an area hospital.

It is unclear what prompted the situation. An investigation is underway.
