Courtney Clenney appears visibly shocked after learning boyfriend was dead, new video shows

MIAMI - Newly released video from the interrogation room of Courtney Clenney shows the moment the OnlyFans model and social media influencer found out her boyfriend of two years was dead.

The Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office released the video from April 3rd, 2022, which is the day investigators say she stabbed Christian Obumseli to death in their "One Paraiso" condo in Edgewater.

She appeared distraught when detectives told her Obumseli did not survive his injuries,

"Christian is dead?" she asked, seemingly stunned.

"Oh my God!"

In the beginning of the video, before detectives come in, Clenney was heard talking to herself and praying for Obumseli.

"Protect me, and protect Christian," she said.

"Please, God, don't take Christian from me."

At that time, she was still in her blood-stained clothes, and when investigators walk in she said: "My apologies for being absolutely [expletive] covered in blood."

She went on to tell them she and Obumseli got into a fight that day about sharing their locations with each other on their cell phones and said it escalated from there.

"He pushed me against the wall and choked me," she said.

"I couldn't breathe."

"I grab my knife," Clenney continued.

"I had absolutely no intention of using it, but he was coming like he was going to grab me, and I threw it.'

She said she threw the knife at Obumseli from about 10 feet away, saying she only meant to scare him.

She went on to describe a volatile history of fighting between them, at one point telling the detectives: "We shouldn't be together."

After almost three hours of questioning and eventually changing out of the blood-stained clothes into a blue jumpsuit, detectives gave Clenney the news that doctors could not save Obumseli.

"That's not true, right? Christian didn't-- Christian is dead?" she asked, looking shocked.

"They're not going to lie to you," her attorney told her.

"I know," she responded. "I just can't believe it."

Her attorney maintains Clenney acted in self-defense.

The medical examiner says the injury was consistent with an intentional stab wound.

Clenney, who goes by Courtney Tailor online, has two million Instagram followers and earned more than $2 million last year in endorsements and deals.

She has pleaded not guilty.

A judge earlier this month denied bond, concerned Clenney could be a flight risk.
