RIVIERA BEACH (CBSMiami/AP) — As the holiday season quickly approaches, a South Florida salon got an early start on Thanksgiving.

The salon provided 100 Thanksgiving dinners to homeless people in honor of a special woman.

Aline Simeon fed more than 3,000 people in her home country of Haiti each holiday.

She died last year.

Husband and wife owners of Chica Salon, Ronald Simeon and Cecilia Martinez, planned a gala to feed Thanksgiving dinners to 100 homeless people at a local shelter Sunday.

The free meal will include a huge turkey with all the trimming. The couple, who founded the event last year, will also help serve the meal.

Martinez said the dinner was "the perfect way to honor her and her legacy of giving."
