Coral Gables Police Post Sketch Of Home Invasion Suspect

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A sketch of a man who committed a home invasion robbery in Coral Gables earlier this week has been released by police in hopes that someone recognizes him and gives them or Crime Stoppers a call.

The robbery occurred Monday morning just before 10 a.m. A woman was watering the grass in front of her home at 891 Navarre Avenue when she noticed a man ride by twice. On the third pass, the man jumped off the bike and forced the woman into the home.

Once inside, he ordered her to hand over money and jewelry and repeatedly told her not to look at him. Out of fear for her life, she gave him a large sum of money and jewelry. He then took off on his bicycle.

The man, described as a Hispanic male in his late teens to earlier 20s, had a distinguishing feature on his face - scar on left side of face & separated eyebrow

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 305-471-TIPS (8477) or contact Detective R. Brown of the Coral Gables Police Department at 305-442-1600.
