Coral Gables Hospital Open Again After Patient Claims To Have Ebola

CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami) – Coral Gables Hospital was shut down temporarily Saturday after a man visited the facility claiming to have Ebola symptoms.

The 20-year-old, who is from the western part of Africa where there are thousands of people suffering from the Ebola virus, was checked out and officials said it does not appear he has Ebola.

Coral Gables Hospital said in a statement a patient with a communicable disease which required precautionary measures was treated at the hospital.

A precautionary drill was executed and the hospital was shut down for a short period of time.

However, the hospital opened again a short time later and is operating normally.
