Construction Worker Found Unresponsive In Miami Building

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A construction worker was rushed to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after he was found unresponsive in the meter room of a Miami building.

It all happened at 120th NE 1st Street .

Miami Police said it is unclear what type of work the man, in his late 40's, was performing but workers believe he may have come in contact with a high voltage wire.

Fire crews performed CPR on him then took him to Ryder Trauma Center. No word on his condition.

Police said the building appears to have some interior construction and renovation projects underway.

A City of Miami Electrical Inspector and a representative from the Fire Marshal's Office responded to inspect the scene of the incident.
