Construction Underway On Major Port Expansion

PORT CANAVERAL (AP) — Scheduled to be completed this November, construction on Port Canaveral's Cruise Terminal 1 is under way.

Located on the south side of Canaveral harbor, the $50 million expansion will be the first at the port that allows cruise passengers and crew to walk directly to nearby restaurants and shops.

Once completed, the terminal will be over 187,000 square feet.
