Congressman Carlos Gimenez Lends Hand In SW Miami Food Distribution

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Congressman Carlos Gimenez was at a Farmshare distribution site in Southwest Miami- Dade handing out fresh produce and non-perishable canned goods.

Gimenez talked about why it's important for everyone to get vaccinated.

"Hopefully we can get this economy back up as more people get vaccinated. We can get back to normal, back to work," said Gimenez.

Farmshare distributes 41 percent of food that is managed by the state's emergency food assistance program.
