Coast Guard Repatriates 14 Cuban Migrants

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Coast Guard crews repatriated 14 Cuban migrants  to Bahia de Cabañas, Cuba, since Tuesday.

The repatriation are a  result of two separate law enforcement cases.

According to the Coast Guard, one of their ships interdicted a rustic vessel on Saturday in the Florida Straits with nine Cuban migrants attempting to enter the United States.

On Monday, another Coast Guard vessel rescued five Cuban migrants from a homemade raft off Key West.

All of the migrants were safely brought aboard the cutters, given food, water, shelter, and basic medical attention.

They were later transferred to other cutters for repatriation.
