Police: Child Abandoned At Chuck E. Cheese's Just A Mixup

SUNRISE (CBSMiami) – Answers have come after a little boy was seemingly left unattended at a Sunrise Chuck E. Cheese's.

Sunrise Police said the 3-year-old child was left at the family restaurant by a family member who mistakenly thought another member of the family was inside.

The child was found wandering around a Chuck E. Cheese's located at 8089 West Oakland Park Blvd on Saturday at 9:50 p.m.

Initial attempts by authorities to locate the child's guardians were unsuccessful.

Surveillance video from the establishment was reviewed and it shows a woman in her 50's bring the child inside at approximately 5:30 p.m. About three hours later, she exits without the child.

He was later placed back into custody with his family.
