Chef Michael Symon Wins Burger Bash At SOBE Wine And Food Festival

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – It was all about the beef at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival Friday night.

Michael Symon from Cleveland took home the "Amstel Light People's Choice Award" for the fourth time in eight years.

More than 25 chefs competed in the annual event.

Celebrity chef Rachel Ray hosted the Burger Bash which is one of the hottest tickets of the event.

The fierce competition heated up behind the Ritz-Carlton South Beach with some of the country's best professional chefs battling it out for the best burger.

The judges said they were looking for flavor, moistness and texture in their burger.

"Love it, it's wonderful, it sells out earlier and earlier and it gets bigger and bigger every year we're having fun," said Rachel Ray.
