FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - Charges have been dropped against a Broward probation officer accused of raping a woman under his supervision.

Coral Springs police arrested Zachary Bailey last year after a woman claimed that he had sexually battered her inside her home.

On Wednesday, the state announced that they would not be moving forward with the case. Bailey's attorney, Johnny McCray Jr., said he wasn't surprised in the least.

"I saw it coming. The case just disintegrated. The woman made a number of statements that were false and were highly questionable," said McCray.

Bailey worked as a probation officer for 20 before he was fired. McCray did not say if he would try to get his job back.
