MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Florida's first female auditor general will be sworn in next week.

Sherrill Foltz Norman will be sworn in during a ceremony Wednesday afternoon in Tallahassee.

Norman is replacing David Martin, who is retiring on Tuesday after holding the position since October 2007.

The Senate voted 38-0 to confirm Norman on April 23rd, two days after the House backed her in a voice vote. Norman, a licensed CPA in Florida since 1992, has been with the Auditor General's Office for 25 years.

She has served as deputy auditor general for the State Government Audits Division since September 2012.
