Century Village Man Critically Injured In Accident
FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - A resident of Century Village in Pembroke Pines was rushed to the hospital after he was clipped while riding his bike early Monday morning.
Gwendolyn Edwards, 54, was heading east on SW 10th Street in her Ford van when she accidentally hit Saturnino Desdin at the intersection of SW 135th Avenue around 7:15 a.m.
Desdin, 88, fell and suffered a head injury. He was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in critical condition.
Police have not said if Edwards, who waited for the police, will be cited.
