CDC: 5 More Zika Cases Reported In South Florida

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Health officials confirmed new cases of the zika virus in South Florida.
Five new cases have been confirmed in Broward County and three others in Miami-Dade County, as of Monday.
Health officials said one of the newly confirmed cases is a pregnant woman.
As of Monday, they said four of the cases confirmed in the state were still exhibiting symptoms.
Statewide, there were 42 confirmed cases of the mosquito-borne virus. All of the cases are travel associated, health officials said.
Meantime, U.S. officials are investigating more than a dozen new reports nationwide of sexually transmitted cases of the virus.
Last week, Governor Rick Scott requested the Centers For Disease Control send 250 additional Zika anti-body tests.
The state has activated a Zika virus hotline for current Florida residents and visitors. Those who need information can call 1-855-622-6735.
