Caught On Camera: Burglar Ransacks Home Tiptoeing Around Sleeping Children

BREVARD (CBSMiami) – Two armed burglars pulled off a brazen heist in Central Florida – stealing from a family while they were sleeping just feet away.
"My wife, she's still shaking," homeowner Al Vera said. "When I saw (the video), my jaw dropped."
Cameras caught one burglar push his way inside the home through the front door. He then creeps around in the darkness as Vera's grandchildren, 10 and 13 years old, slept on couches in the living room.
"(The kids) were all in the living room sleeping, and he just walks right around in between them," Vera said. "My bedroom is right over there. He was right there, but he never opened the door."
The burglar made his way around the living room and then the kitchen, finally deciding to take the cellphone of one of the sleeping kids.
His lookout, just outside the front door, looked at him and waved a gun.
"God forbid, what could've happened if one of us got up? They robbed my gun, my GPS on my door (where) I keep my credit cards, my wallet, my driver's license. They stole all that," Vera said.
Vera has some strong words for the thieves.
"They'd better stay away from here because I am armed," he said. "I'm doing measures now where I will be alerted if somebody is prowling out here."
Deputies are looking for two burglars, but said there might be more.
