Car Plows Through Crowded Murder Scene

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Police were investigating a deadly shooting in Houston Wednesday afternoon when a wild driver barreled through the crime scene.

Bystanders frantically scattered to get out of the way as the car, driven by the accused shooter's father, weaved through the crowd at the murder scene.

Twenty year old Demarcus Harrison was shot and killed in that location earlier, allegedly by the son of the man behind the wheel.

Tensions between both families escalated as the father of the shooting suspect was being taunted by the crowd of about 20 people.

Witnesses said the father attempted to run them over with a car.

The gray sedan drove across the lawn and into the parking lot blocked off with crime scene tape and headed right towards a group of police officers.

While the car was still moving, the driver opened the door and jumped out.   Officers tackled him to the ground.

No one else was injured.
