Car Left Mangled With 2 Inside After Rollover Crash

COCONUT CREEK (CBSMiami) -- A mangled car was found Friday morning in Coconut Creek - the product of a crash that left two people injured.

The two people were inside the car when the rollover crash happened around 6 a.m.on the eastbound lanes on Sample Road at the Turnpike, according to the Margate-Coconut Creek Fire Department.

Eventually, they hit a tree causing major damage to the dark-colored vehicle.

Rescue crews rushed the two people to Broward Health North as trauma alerts with significant injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. No other vehicles were involved, authorities said.

At last check, the eastbound lanes of Sample Road had been shut down during the investigation.
