Canes Give #1 Florida First Loss Of Year, Even Series

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- The No. 6 Hurricanes evened their series and handed the top-ranked Florida Gators their first loss of the season at Mark Light Field.

Zack Collins gave the club four RBI, including a two-run single in the fourth inning and then followed it up with another two-run base hit the following inning.

The Hurricanes (5-1) got to Florida's lefty starter A.J. Puk early, forcing him to leave in the 2nd inning.

Florida made it close in the 9th inning, putting a man on second and the tying run at the plate, but Canes closer Brian Garcia shut the door with a strikeout to end the game.
