Cameras Capture Robbers In $43K Jewelry Heist

PLANTATION (CBSMiami) -- Plantation Police are asking for the public's help to identify people involved in a more than $43 thousand dollar heist at a jewelry store.

Surveillance cameras rolled as a man and two women walked into Matthews Jewelers located at 157 N. Nob Hill Road on March 17th at 1:30 p.m.

The group was seen looking like they were shopping for jewelry but ended up hauling off a pricey piece without purchasing it.

Investigators said they got away with a $43,900.00 tennis necklace with 161 diamonds on it.

Police believe there were five people involved in the crime. Three of which appeared on surveillance video.

They said they are looking for a Pontiac Grand Prix, possibly Teal, and a Gray possible Toyota Camry type vehicle that may have bullet holes on it.
