California Ticket Wins $425 Million Powerball Jackpot

TALLAHASSEE (CBS4) – If you had dreams of buying big mansions and fancy cars after winning the $425 million Powerball jackpot Wednesday night, you can keep dreaming.

There was a big winner, but it wasn't' here. One ticket sold at a Chevron gas station in Milpitas, California matched all five numbers and the Powerball number for the win.

The winning numbers were 1-17-35-49-54 and the Powerball number was 34.

The jackpot will be reset to $40 million for this Saturday's drawing.

Two tickets sold in Florida matched all five numbers but not the Powerball number to win a million dollars each.

Thousands of other tickets matched lesser winning Powerball combinations.

In the Florida Lotto, no ticket matched all six numbers to win the $11 million jackpot.

The winning numbers were 9-14-29-31-32-36.

Twenty tickets matched five numbers to win $8,179.50 each; 1,586 tickets matched four numbers for $75.50 each; and 31,975 tickets matched three numbers for $5.00 each.

The jackpot for this Saturday's drawing will roll over to $12 million.
