Bus Struck, Killed Man On Motorized Bike In Hialeah

HIALEAH (CBSMiami) - A Miami-Dade transit bus was involved in a deadly accident over the weekend in Hialeah.

A 31-year old man was riding a motorized bike and the bus near collided near the intersection of W 68th Street and W 3rd Court around 7 p.m. Sunday.

Police closed off several streets as traffic homicide investigators pieced together what happened.

"I don't believe it," said Arley Diaz who knew the man who died. "He rode his bike often. He has two kids. He was a really good guy."

People who live by said W 68th Street has become a dangerous road because of all the construction.

"This curve is crazy," said Diaz. "It says 20 miles an hour and people go 50."

Police have not released the name of the who died.
