NORTH MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Police arrested a man for allegedly breaking into a North Miami Beach home—a man they believe might be behind other burglaries.

Dorleans Philidor, 29, was arrested and is facing several burglary charges.

Police are investigating the possibility that Philidor is linked to three other burglaries—including the home of Rabbi Eily Smith earlier in March.

At the time of the incident, on March 4th, the Rabbi told CBS4's Peter D'Oench he left his room around 5 AM and saw someone standing in the kitchen. He told D'Oench he screamed and the thief left with his car.

The car was found a short time later a few blocks away at a neighbor's home.

At the time, police believed the thief that robbed the Smith's may have broken into another home in the area.
