Bullets Fly During North Dade Convenience Story Robbery Attempt

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A convenience store employee is lucky to be alive after he was shot at during an attempted robbery.

On January 26th, just before midnight, two males. who were described as being in their older teen.s entered the store at 13101 NW 27th Avenue and ordered a customer standing at the counter to get down on the ground.

They then demanded that they clerk open the cash register. The clerk however had other ideas. When he saw the two armed men come in, he ran towards the rear of the store.

One of the gunman leaned over the counter and fired several shots at the retreating clerk.

Neither the clerk nor the customer were hurt.

The gunmen then ran out of the store.

The robbery attempt was caught on the store's surveillance system. Now police would like to capture the armed individuals in real life. Anyone with information on the robbery attempt is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
