BSO: Car Slams Into Deputy's Vehicle

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- An investigation is underway after a car slammed into a deputy's vehicle early Friday morning.

It all happened in Fort Lauderdale at the intersection of Andrews Ave. and N.E. 2 St.around 3:30 a.m.

Deputies said the deputy was transporting a prisoner when a car with four people inside hit the deputy's car.

The deputy and prisoner were taken to Broward Health Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

A third car stopped at the intersection and was also impacted by the crash.

Rescue crews treated three other people with minor injuries.

At last check, the intersection remain closed as deputies investigated the incident.
