BSO: Bar Brawl Ends In Shooting

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - A brawl between a couple of guys at North Lauderdale sports bar ended with one of them shot in the parking lot.

Security video from the Player's Sports Bar and Grill shows Terrance McClendon, 41, getting into a fight with two unindentified men just after 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 13th. McClendon would later tell Broward Sheriff's investigators that he was trying to make room for other patrons in the crowded bar when he got into a shoving and punching match.

Video from inside the bar shows McClendon fight off the initial attack, before he is put into a headlock by one of the men and punched by the other.

Security intervened and asked both men to leave. When McClendon left the bar later, they were waiting for him in the parking lot. One of the men chased McClendon across the lot and fired several shots at him. One of those shots struck McClendon in the lower back.

McCledon was taken to Broward Health Medical Center where he underwent surgery.

Witnesses said the two men who attacked McClendon drove off in a newer model two-door sports car.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $3,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
