Brush Fire In West Miami-Dade Possibly Started By Lightning

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A massive fire burning just west of Florida's Turnpike Monday is another sign of just how dry conditions are in South Florida.

The fire is between NW 41 Street and 74 Streets on the Florida Turnpike.

The Division of Forestry and Miami-Dade Fire are on the scene of the fire.

It is not known how many acres have burned. Brush fire burning in West Miami-Dade possibly started by lightning

It's possible that the fire was started by lightning strikes from a strong storm that passed through that area.
