Broward Man Wanted For Keys Concert Stabbing

ISLAMORADA (CBSMiami) -- Authorities are searching for a Plantation man for the attempted murder of a New York man during a concert in Islamorada.

Police said Kemar Ricardo Dennis, 26, stabbed New York resident Rodger Harrison, 33, in the abdomen Sunday at the annual Beach Road Trip event held at the 82.8 mile marker on US-1.

"Witnesses, including security staff at the event, saw the two men in a confrontation near the stage and saw Dennis stab the victim," the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said. "One security person tackled Dennis and attempted to detain him for deputies, but Dennis broke away and fled."

Harrison was airlifted to the Ryder Trauma Center in Miami for life-threatening injuries, including lacerations to his liver.

He is wanted for attempted murder and a warrant was issued by police for his arrest.
