Brazen Jewel Thief Caught On Video During Daytime Heist

DORAL (CBSMiami) – A brazen jewel thief is wanted in Doral and may be responsible for a second heist in Broward County as well.

According to Doral Police, a man walked into the Mayor's Jewelers store at the International Mall on November 21st and posed as a customer who wanted to upgrade his wife's wedding ring.

The clerk handed him two rings to consider. Once they were in his hand, the man bolted from his seat and ran out of the store. He got away with both rings worth more than $50K.

It was all captured on surveillance video.

The suspect is believed to be the same man who targeted a Zales Jewelry store at the Westfield Broward Mall in Plantation on November 14, 2016.
